The Town of Jonesborough is searching for a strategic and dynamic Human Resource Director to oversee our municipal workforce. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be instrumental in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that our human resources initiatives are aligned with the town’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR strategies that support the town’s objectives
Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes
Lead employee relations, including conflict resolution
Manage benefits administration and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws
Direct performance management systems to promote employee growth
Provide training and development opportunities for town staff
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field
SHRM or HRCI certification highly desirable
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in HR leadership roles
Knowledge of public sector employment is a plus
Strong understanding of labor law and HR best practices
Excellent communication skills with an ability to lead and inspire
